Welcome to the Steamboat Walk of Olympians!

This page is designed to give you a little information about the Steamboat Springs Walk of Olympians and the people who inspired its creation. Steamboat Springs, CO is known as Ski Town USA for the fantastic ski mountain, and penchant for churning out Olympic Athletes. As a town we have produced more Olympic competitiors per capita than anywhere else in the world.  The walk is designed to showcase the Steamboat Olympians through a series of 18-by-18-inch bronze plaques to be placed along the Yampa Street sidewalk. Eventually the walk intends to honor the 80-plus Olympic athletes who grew up in Steamboat Springs, live here now, or were members of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

You can find a sponsorship application and more details about how this process works in the Sponsor Info section. This site will soon have information on all of Steamboat's Olympic Athletes under the Athletes tab so check back over time to see their stories and learn more about Steamboat's history.

And Steamboat continues to be instrumental in the development of young Olympians.
